SUMMARY:Seeding fertile ground: A Rocha’s Global Conservation Fund - webinar
DESCRIPTION:A Rocha’s Global Conservation Fund for A Rocha work around the world has now concluded a first round of 12-month projects including reconciliation work between forest edge communities and forest management officials in Uganda\, the establishment of a marine programme in India and the introduction of new sustainable livelihoods in Peru such as Guinea pig raising and artisanal craft production. \nThe second round of grants is designed for piloting new projects and approaches and generating evidence of their effectiveness. For example\, A Rocha UK will trial ‘tiny forests’ method of restoration in an experimental design. A Rocha Kenya will assess 24 years of their Assets programme\, conservation-via-scholarships. A Rocha Netherlands will develop resources and trialling ‘outdoor church’. \nNick Warren and Kuki Rokhum are key members of the group who craft the call for proposals and evaluate submissions and reporting. You are warmly invited to hear the inside story of the vision\, successes and challenges of this new and exciting A Rocha initiative. \nBook your free ticket here

SUMMARY:A Volunteering week with A ROCHA Czech 2026
DESCRIPTION:The A Rocha Czech team is excited to invite you to the 6th annual Volunteering week in Keith Morris Eco-center.\nJoin our team and experience a week full of meaningful work\, adventure\, and shared moments! You’ll help nature in the beautiful surroundings of our eco-centre\, practice your language skills\, and enjoy trips\, workshops\, and evenings filled with music and inspiring conversations. \nWhen: 15th – 22nd August 2026 \nProgramme: \n\nAbove all\, lots of fun and joy together\, but also work until you get dirty and sweaty.\nYou will practice your English and German.\nMorning work in groups in the living garden and in the eco-centre building (cleaning ponds\, weeding beds\, preparing wood for the winter\, building a forest latrine).\n\n\nAfternoon active rest\, e.g. mini-course in ornithology\, mycology and herbalism\, observation of bumblebees exploration of the wetland area\, trips to the Eagle Mountains and other interesting places.\nMornings and evenings with songs\, talks and Bible readings on environmental topics\, lectures\, concert\nEvenings together sharing participants’ experiences in the field of nature conservation.\n\nAccommodation: preferably in your own tent or forest shelter\, some in the privacy of our friends\, there is space for a mattress in the building\nFood: we will eat together food prepared by a professional chef with your generous help. \nFood and energy allowance 1 500 CZK\,- for the whole stay\, students 1 200 CZK. \nCan’t make it the whole week? Come just for a few days. \nCapacity is limited to 40 persons and the spots are filling up fast.
